Metal Butt Plugs

Metal butt plugs differ in several ways:

• Weight — Significantly heavier, creating a unique 'full' sensation
• Temperature play — Can be warmed or cooled for exciting temperature sensations
• Ultra-smooth — The polished surface glides in effortlessly with lubricant
• Firm — No flexibility, providing precise pressure
• Non-porous — Easy to sterilize completely

The flared base on metal plugs is always solid and reliable.

Temperature play is a major advantage of metal:

• Warm — Place in warm (not hot!) water for 5-10 minutes. Always test on your wrist first
• Cool — Place in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. Never the freezer — that can cause burns

Always use plenty of lubricant and ensure a comfortable temperature before insertion.

Metal is the easiest material to clean:

• Warm water and mild soap or toy cleaner
• Full sterilization — Boil in water (5 minutes) or clean with 70% alcohol
• Metal is completely non-porous, so bacteria can't penetrate the surface

Metal plugs can work for beginners if you choose a small model. The smooth surface often makes insertion easier. However, metal is not flexible, so it's less forgiving. If you're completely new, a silicone butt plug is often a more comfortable first choice.

Both water-based and silicone lubricant work well with metal.
